In most cases, it is highly believe that you will stop having sex at any point during your pregnancy, which may cause your health care provider to recommend that you abstain from sex during pregnancy that is if you are facing any pregnancy complications such as miscarriage, placenta previa, preeclampsia etc. Other pregnancy complications include Pre-term labor, vaginal bleeding, incompetent cervix (that is when the opening of the uterus is weak or opens prematurely), pain during intercourse, infection etc.

If you as a woman is experiencing any of the above mentioned cases during pregnancy, please call the attention of your health provider to be sure if sex is safe for you or not. If the answer is unsafe, do your self a favour and abstain from sex to avoid any problem.
